Since 1945 the United States of America has been viewed as the unofficial bastion of peace. The U.S. dollar has served as the safeguard of global finances, and the U.S. military has been seen as the global peacekeeper.
The United States of America has stood by Israel’s side since its rebirth in 1948.
The Psalmist (and King of Israel) David spoke: “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: ‘May those who love you be secure.’” Psalms 122:6 The New International Version
All of that has changed.
The Chinse Yuan is competing for global financial security as well as being the dominant world power. The U.S. government financially supports Israel’s enemies, while offering lip service to its once unshakable commitment to its middle eastern friend.
Upheaval, uncertainty, and in some cases, anarchy, controls major U.S. cities. Criminals go free while law-abiding citizens are punished.
Those who chose to defend themselves are branded domestic terrorists, while those who illegally enter the country are offered free healthcare, driving licenses, and voting privileges.
How can this be?
“You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days, there will be very difficult times.
For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred.
They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good.”
II Timothy 3:1-3 The New Living Translation
The Apostle Paul offers the answer. Humanity is living in the last days, and times are very difficult.
The Psalmist said that security will be to those who love Israel. The opposite is equally true; those who do not love Israel will lack security.
If the world peacekeeper has fallen, then world chaos will ensue, and it has. Global headlines are filled with conflicts, wars, hostile takeovers, and human atrocities.
The Rise of the Righteous
For you bless the godly, O LORD;
you surround them with your shield of love.
Psalms 5:120NLT
The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right,
and his ears are open to their prayers.
But the Lord turns his face
against those who do evil.
I Peter 3:12 NLT
In his justice he will pay back those who persecute you.
II Thessalonians 1:6 NLT
God is on the side of the righteous. He watches over you, shields and protects you, and tends to those who persecute you.
In other words, you cannot lose for winning.
You are righteous the moment you accept the sacrifice of God the Son, Jesus. Like everything else in life, you must learn to be righteous, and a close personal relationship with the Godhead helps you learn how.
A close personal relationship with the Godhead is a journey. I invite you to follow along. As I learn, I will pass it along so you, too, can learn. It is my hope that as you learn, you can pass it along so that I (and others) might learn.
