There is so much going on in the world, but I want to focus on what is in front of us, Thanksgiving 2020. With all the challenges this year has hurled at humanity, a day to give thanks has highly appropriate. We use an acronym at our house, Ship High In Transit, think about it. This year has offered enough Ship High In Transit to fertilize a garden.
That being said, ask yourself what you have to be thankful for. Do not forget the little things that have happened in your life. One of the little things I have enjoyed this year is the number of times God the Holy Spirit has reminded me of things. For example, as I headed out the door today, I was reminded that my phone was sitting on my dresser. Things like this have happened a lot this year.
My wife and I have had numerous times this year to sit and talk. I have been able to connect with our children as a result of this year. The little things have become big things. I hope you can agree. I trust you have experienced many little blessings that allow you to be thankful in 2020.
A close personal relationship with God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit is falling in love with God. Reflect on this crazy year, and recall the little moments of closeness you felt with him.
Be thankful for the little blessings that have happened in your life this year.
